Croatian Port Authorities of Rijeka, Zadar, Šibenik, Split i Dubrovnik, Port Authority of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Dubrovnik County Port Authority and Port Authority of Vukovar participated in Europe's largest convention dedicated to the cruise industry "Seatrade Cruise Med", which took place after a four-year pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic from 14 - 15 September 2022 in Malaga, Spain.
The event has been organised in collaboration with Seatrade Cruise and Malaga Port Authority, Malaga City Council, Costa Del Sol and Andalusia Regional Government, with MedCruise and CLIA as supporters. More than 150 registered to Seatrade Cruise Med as exhibitors, and thousands of visitors finally came together for the leading exhibition, bringing all the cruise industry professionals in the Mediterranean region and confirming the high professional level of the participants.
Meetings with cruise lines (Royal Carribean Cruise Lines, MSC Cruises, Costa Cruises, TUI Cruises) were held regarding joint efforts towards common goal of sustainable cruise tourism development. Special interest was expressed in the programme "Respect the City", a strategic destination management project. During the convention, conference programme and the event "Adriatic Sea: a destination with a common heritage - Adrijo platform presentation” were held as well as the 61st General Assembly of MedCruise Association.
