Location and Surroundings

The distance from the Port of Gruž to the historic city centre is 2 km.

In the immediate vicinity of the port there is a Jadrolinija office, banks, ATMs, currency exchange, parking, Konzum supermarket and Srđ department store, market, Hotel Petka, several agencies, rent-a-car and the information office of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

Transport to the Historic Centre

On foot: approx. 20 minutes

By bus: approx. 10 minutes (lines 1a, 1b, 1c, 3 and 8)

Ticket price: 15 kn on the bus / 12 kn at newsagents

By taxi: approx. 70 kn to the historic centre + 2 kn per piece of luggage

Currency and Payment

The official currency in Croatia is the euro (EUR).

ATMs are located at various places throughout the city area. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept credit cards (American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa) as a means of payment.

Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks, exchange offices, post offices, travel agencies, hotels, campsites and marinas. Cheques can be cashed at banks.
