The second leading port of the Adriatic in terms of cruises

According to the data of the Dubrovnik Port Authority, in the first six months of 2026, 175 cruise ship calls were made in Dubrovnik with a total of 235,091 passengers. In this period, the most passengers are in May (90,371 and 58 departures) and June (93,571 passengers and 57 departures). By the end of the year, a total of 461 arrivals and 661,094 passengers are expected, with the highest traffic traditionally recorded during September and October. With the application of sustainable management of cruise traffic and a more even distribution of ship arrivals, as well as excellent cooperation between stakeholders, Dubrovnik successfully harmonizes the development of cruise tourism with the preservation of cultural heritage and the quality of life of the local community.

Since the beginning of the year, Dubrovnik has hosted four cruise ships on their first visit to the city - Mein Schiff 4 from TUI Cruises, Emerald Kaia from PEC Operations Ltd, Scarlet Lady from Virgin Voyages and Disney Dream from Disney Cruise Line.

It is important to emphasize that Dubrovnik remains among the leading Adriatic ports - which was confirmed at the recent meeting in Venice, the Adriatic Sea Forum 2026 conference.

The presentation of the results of the Adriatic Sea Tourism Report 2026 confirmed the continued growth of maritime tourism in the Adriatic during 2025, when Adriatic ports received more than 25.5 million passengers in cruise, ferry and high-speed boat traffic, of which more than 5.3 million were related to cruising. The report also highlights the continued investment in port infrastructure and sustainable transport solutions, with a total value of more than 340 million euros.

In 2025, Dubrovnik received more than 625,000 cruise passengers and 433 cruise ship calls, ranking second in the Adriatic, behind the Greek Corfu.

The results achieved in the first six months of 2026 are at the level of previous years, which confirms Dubrovnik's stable position among the leading cruise destinations in the Mediterranean. All together, Dubrovnik stands out as an example of a high level of management of this type of tourism not only in Europe, but also on a global level.
